Although it was difficult to leave, I had no choice but to join an environmental protection company out of necessity. I have now been working in this industry for one and a half years, and during that time I have experienced quite a few things. The company isn’t very large, but it’s not small either – after all, it employs several hundred people; The company also has many departments, such as design, R&D, procurement, and construction; the range of departments is quite comprehensive. Perhaps the management doesn’t understand design well, or they may not be very interested in it. In any case, the design work involves using pre-existing elements and following established patterns, so anyone can handle it, which is why the design department isn’t given much importance. In terms of the number of employees, the design department has just over 10 people, which is considered a relatively small number within the entire company. . . Research and development means innovation, it means technology – it is what companies value most ; Those working in engineering face tough conditions on site, exposed to wind and sun, while also responsible for coordinating with the construction team to carry out installation and testing tasks. The manager has a fairly good attitude considering how hard everyone works, but what about the design? . Sitting in the office all day with the air conditioning on, creating designs that aren’t satisfactory, and constantly being criticized by various departments and managers. The leader said, “It’s just 200 tubes, right?” You’re given a week to ten days and you still say you can’t finish it? Just connect the device ports and count the materials, that’s it, right? I can say, if you’re capable, then draw it yourself. The R&D person said: I’ve given you the pilot test report; all the data is in it. Just follow the design, that’s all Can I say that it’s very difficult to implement this report in a practical context? The person from the marketing department said: We’ve already given you three days – isn’t it just a matter of preparing a plan and a quote? Haven’t finished it after all this time? Can I say you come for three days to do a preliminary design? The people from the engineering department asked: Can you design and prepare the statistical materials on time? Every time, it’s either more or less. . Can I say that you built it according to my drawings? Can I say you can’t understand the diagram? . Even when following the blueprint, it’s still necessary to consider allowances and backups. . The project manager said, \"You guys don’t complete the designs on time. What kind of management is that? For years now there have been no uniform standards – everyone draws their own designs, and everything is irregular.\" ; Did they ask us before signing the contract? . Set a time with the owner without permission. . Regardless of the actual workload. . . When I was at the design institute, I led a group of master’s students in designing projects; now, at my current company, it is a group of recently graduated master’s students who guide me in doing design work. . . This is the current situation of all our company’s designers – they are all people who have been working for around 10 years. . I was directed around by a bunch of kids from other departments. . Is research and development more important, or is later engineering more important? . We clearly lean towards the former. . Personally, I think walking on two legs is always faster than walking on one leg. . .
A classic and sensible saying: Life is like rape; since one can’t resist it, just enjoy it to the fullest~
That’s true; it’s the same everywhere. There’s no perfect job – although there are many shortcomings, there are also advantages. With many young people around, the atmosphere is more lively, not as dull as in design firms. .
Personally, I think walking on two legs is always faster than walking on one leg. . . Not necessarily. A person walks on 2 legs, while a donkey has 4 legs; in total, that’s 6 legs. Doesn’t having more legs mean moving faster? ;P
Damn. . . . Yeah, it’s not true that the more legs you have, the better. . . . With so many legs, centipedes really can’t move fast. . . :lol
Centipedes are actually quite fast and often stop abruptly. . . Give me some of that Sprite from 82 to drink. Actually, your mindset is determined by yourself; as long as the salary is good, you can ignore everything else. These days, whenever someone sees something weak, everyone wants to step on it; especially after a leader does so, those who flatter others are eager to come and trample on that person’s vital parts. No one will admit that it’s their fault, and no one wants to say, “I can’t do this.” Everyone acts like a big shot – what’s the purpose of that? Leader, I’m very capable; trust me with this task. I can earn a higher salary and reach a higher position. . .
In 2014, I also moved from a design institute to an environmental protection company. The environmental engineering firms did not pay enough attention to design work, and the standards were not met; most of the managers had no background in design, and procurement and construction roles held more importance than those related to design. So I stayed there for only a year, found a decent job, and left promptly
That’s indeed the case. . . Let’s not talk about some things. . Watching everyone keep making mistakes. The project was done terribly. . I told you. . Whether the leader decides to adopt it or not is one thing; many people will label you as someone with a strong personality who likes to show off. . . It’s better to focus on doing one’s own job properly; the more involved one gets in management matters, the more chaotic things become. .
Be responsible for the documents you sign; as for everything else, know when to stop.
To what extent have our leaders fallen? They don’t even know how to take the square root of a number; they can’t compute the cube root either. They expect you to do the work of compressing two files together. They won’t bother to read the relevant regulations and guidelines on their own, and once you’ve explained them, they will simply refute your points based on their own ideas. It’s as if a scholar runs into a soldier; The sentence that really gives me chills is: I just want to torture him, to torture them to death; he seems like a pervert, an absolute monster
