Is gas chromatography injection related to the flow of gas?

When I inject the sample, I wait until the gas tank stops releasing gas before turning the valve; while others keep pressing on the gas tank to keep it releasing gas before turning the valve. What impact does this have?
Agilent chromatographs have injection port pressure control; do I still need to wait for the system to reach equilibrium before injecting? Keep releasing air while pressing on the gas bladder – then, does the method of equilibrating the chromatograph have an impact on the experimental results?
I tried it a few times; the difference wasn’t significant. But the textbook states that if sampling is started before pressure equilibrium is achieved, the measured values will be too high, mainly because the pressure in the quantification tube is high
There is an error; usually, sampling is done under pressure with the balance valve maintaining a constant pressure. Conventional balance valves are electromagnetic on-off valves or manual on-off valves.
