Issues regarding MTL and DCS serial communication

In our factory, the acquisition and display of temperature signals from a certain device are carried out through an MTL838B-MBF multi-channel temperature converter, which communicates via serial port with the ECS-700 COM741 card produced by Zhejiang University’s Control Systems Department. Recently, we have observed an irregular tendency for the communication data to return to zero. I would like to ask the experts here: what could be the cause of this issue?
After changing the hardware baud rate of the MTL multi-channel temperature converter and the internal baud rate in the DCS communication configuration from 9600 to 19200, the display worked properly. Could everyone analyze the reasons?
