The exhaust pressure range for the hydrogen booster turbine is from -0.1 to 0 Mpa. A gauge pressure transmitter with a range of 0 to 0.1 Mpa is being used on site. Is there any problem with the mismatch between these ranges for indoor and outdoor conditions? Why was a gauge pressure transmitter chosen?

Ordinary pressure gauges cannot reach absolute zero; therefore, only gauge pressure gauges can be used. Given your range requirements, the value displayed by a gauge pressure gauge is always positive – values ranging from 0 KPA to 100 KPA correspond to pressures between -100 KPA and 0 KPA
No problem at all; the difference is just 0.1 MPa in atmospheric pressure. In fact, when configuring things, it seems that gauge pressure is used, and you need to account for -0.1 MPa when receiving signals from the transmitter
It means that there’s no need to change the configuration range of the computer, nor is it necessary to adjust the range on the field instrument – it can be used normally, right?
For personal use, there is no need to change the range of the gauge; it remains 0-100 KPA, which corresponds to -100 KPA to 0. Therefore, if one prefers to see negative values displayed, this gauge can be used with a DCS system configured with this range. Of course, it’s also possible to use the same range as that used on-site, with only the absolute pressure value indicated.
