In SH3009, the effective amount of water in the water seal tank specified in 8.2.5 should be sufficient to ensure that the vertical pipe at the inlet of the water seal tank is filled with water over a depth of 3 meters in case of negative pressure in the combustible gas distribution network. If 3 meters of water are required in that vertical pipe, does that mean the diameter of the equipment has to be greater than 3 meters?
Tubes are much smaller than jars, right? The vertical pipe is 3 meters long – calculate its volume!
It’s quite clear: for the 3-meter height of the inlet pipe, such as a combustible gas discharge pipe with DN200 diameter, the water saved is equivalent to that saved by a DN200 pipe that is 3 meters long. That is, 3.14*0.1*0.1*3=0.1 cubic meters
That means that even if the diameter of the liquid separation tank is less than 3 meters, the vertical height of the inlet pipeline to the tank still has to be 3 meters; it would be pointless to allow liquid to be drawn in horizontally over a distance of 3 meters
Horizontal pipes are pointless; the function of a water seal is to use the hydraulic pressure generated by the water column to prevent backflow. If the pipe is horizontal, no such hydraulic pressure can be created

Can nitrogen be filled into the reaction vessel? If possible, connect a nitrogen pipeline to the inlet pipeline and keep it open; this will reduce the humidity at the inlet significantly, and the powder will be less likely to clump together.
In SH3009, version 4.0.25, the water level in the water seal tank must be such that it enables the emission system to effectively prevent backflow from the flare under normal operating conditions, while also ensuring that emitted gases can break through the water seal and flow into the flare in the event of an emergency emission. The inlet riser of the water seal tank must be 3 m above the highest liquid level controlled by the water seal; when measures for recovering flammable gases are in place, it should also be determined based on the user’s requirements or the pressure controlled by the gas holder.
In this scenario, if a flashback occurs inside the tank, the water level in the water seal tank will instantly generate hydraulic pressure that compresses the vent pipe; the distance over which this compression takes place is at least 3 meters. This distance is independent of the diameter of the vent pipe, and depends only on the height from the vent pipe to the water seal tank. The main function of a water seal tank is still to prevent backfire.
