In a piston machine (three-stage), the temperature after the second stage of exhaust reaches an alarm level – what could be the reasons? Is the main cause a failure of the secondary exhaust valve? Thank you.
It means the temperature is high in front of the cooler.
The fault should be checked from three aspects: cylinder cooling, the valves themselves, and the cooler.
It’s likely that the coolant inlet is blocked.
The inlet temperature is high; check whether your thermometer shows a value above 35–40 degrees. If so, it means there isn’t enough cooling water, or the cooler’s heat exchange efficiency is poor – scaling may be an issue that needs to be addressed.
Check whether the compression ratio is normal, that is, whether the inlet pressure is low. This leads to an increase in the compression ratio and a rise in valve temperature
