Seeking advice from industry peers in the field of pressure vessels and heat exchangers

I work in a pressure vessel company, mainly dealing with low-pressure vessels. My career goal is to work in the field of pressure vessel and heat exchanger design in the future; since I didn’t study this area, I had to rely on self-study. I have read books on pressure vessel design and heat exchanger design, as well as standards such as GB150 and GB151. I believe it’s more efficient to refer to these standards when they are actually needed in projects. What I would like to ask here is that many books on pressure vessels discuss topics such as strength verification for thin-walled cylinders under internal pressure, verification for vessels under external pressure, and stability calculations. However, since my company is private, we mainly use conventional design methods, and there is little need for strength or stability verifications. Is it true that most private companies simply use SW6 design software for such tasks? Also, to truly succeed in the heat exchanger and pressure vessel industry, what needs to be learned? It could be listed in terms of importance; I would be very grateful
