This is mainly manifested in inconvenient transportation inside and outside the scenic area, as well as chaotic parking management ； Lack of public service facilities, with no emphasis on improving user-friendliness and attention to details ； The toilet revolution has not been implemented effectively; construction and management lag behind, leaving the sanitary environment dirty and in poor condition ； Lack of safety awareness, absence of safety inspections, and need to strengthen safety management ； The development of smart tourist attractions is lagging behind, with a lack of information-based marketing tools such as official websites, WeChat, and Weibo ； The quality of goods available for purchase during tourism is low, and there is a lack of distinctive tourist products ； Key areas such as ticket prices for tourist sites, religious activities, and construction projects have not been addressed effectively, with little visible improvement ； The management mechanism for the scenic area is unclear, and there is a lack of effective daily supervision, among other issues. In particular, some scenic areas funded and operated by private capital lack a systematic overall plan in their subsequent development and construction; operational management, guest services, and landscape maintenance are all inadequate, which has a negative impact on the visiting experience of tourists.

Jiangsu: 7 scenic spots issued severe warnings. From late October to early November, the Jiangsu Provincial Tourism Bureau commissioned a third-party agency to conduct secret inspections and reevaluations of more than 30 4A-level tourist attractions across the province. However, severe warnings were issued to 7 scenic spots whose ratings did not meet the standards, namely the Nanjing Baima Ruyi Culture and Art Center (Nanjing Zhouyuan), Wuxi Yixing Ceramic Museum, Wuxi Yixing Yunhu Scenic Area, Xuzhou Dadongshan, Nantong Hai’an Jianghuai Culture Park, Lianyungang Guannan Erlangshen Cultural Relics Park, and Yancheng Sheyang Xixin Temple; these sites were ordered to make the necessary improvements within a period of two months. After the deadline for making the necessary improvements, the Jiangsu Tourism Bureau will conduct another on-site inspection of the scenic area. If it still fails to meet the 4A standards at that time, the provincial bureau will downgrade the scenic area or revoke its 4A status. Last weekend, a reporter from Wuxi Daily contacted the Yixing Ceramic Museum and said that they were unaware of the covert investigation beforehand and only learned about it through media reports. A responsible official from the Yixing Pottery Museum said that on the day of the media coverage, the museum director gathered everyone at a regular meeting to conduct self-inspections and address any issues existing within the museum. “On the one hand, the hardware facilities are aging, and there may also be shortcomings in management and services. ”The official admitted that the museum is over 30 years old, and some of its infrastructure is outdated; as part of the upcoming improvements, they will also apply for funds to update the facilities inside the museum. In terms of services, the museum held a series of training sessions titled “Creating the Yixing Pottery Tradition – Youthful Energy: I Represent the City of Pottery” some time ago. Fujian: 13 4A-level tourist attractions have been dealt with. The Fujian Provincial Tourism Bureau recently reported on the recent rectification efforts carried out in the province’s A-level tourist attractions. It is reported that this special rectification campaign took firm action, dealing with 19 4A and 3A-rated tourist attractions that had serious problems. The handling status of the 13 4A-level tourist attractions is as follows: 1. Tourist attraction whose 4A-level quality rating was revoked (1): Xiamen Haicang Bridge Tourist Area ； 2. Sichuan: 7 scenic spots issued severe warnings. Last month, the 8th Standard Assessment Committee of Sichuan’s Tourism Standards Evaluation Board, through collective deliberation, took action against three 4A-rated scenic spots that had issues: the Shunan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area in Yibin City, the Jiayang Saruma Lake Scenic Area in Leshan City, and the Tianyi Valley Scenic Area in Linshui County, Guang’an City. Among them, the Shunan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area and Tianyi Valley Scenic Area were given severe warnings with a deadline of 3 months to make corrections; the Jiayang Alsophila Lake Scenic Area was given a warning with a deadline of 1 month to make corrections. Upon the expiration of the rectification period, the evaluation committee will once again send assessors and supervisors for Grade A tourist attractions to conduct on-site inspections of the aforementioned attractions, assigning strict scores. Those attractions that still fail to meet the score requirements for a **4A-level tourist attraction after the rectification period is over will have their status revoked. From August to September, the Evaluation Committee organized assessors and supervisors for Grade A tourist attractions to conduct unannounced inspections of 10 5A-level and 7 4A-level tourist attractions across the province. Three 4A-level tourist attractions – the Shunan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area, the Jiayang Alsophila Lake Scenic Area, and the Tianyi Valley Scenic Area – have issues such as significant safety hazards in tourism, poor hygiene in tourist toilets, outdated facilities and equipment, messy environmental conditions, inadequate service management, and lagging in information technology development.

Chongqing: Chongqing Natural History Museum to be upgraded to a 4A-level tourist attraction. The Chongqing Tourism Bureau announced today that, in accordance with the \"Regulations on the Evaluation and Management of 4A-Level Tourist Attractions in Chongqing,\" after an initial evaluation by the Beibei District Tourist Attraction Quality Rating Committee, the Chongqing Natural History Museum was recommended for evaluation as a 4A-level attraction. Following review by the Office of the Chongqing Tourist Attraction Quality Rating Committee, it was determined that the documents submitted by the museum met the requirements for application. Hence, a public announcement is being made; the publicity period will run from November 18, 2016, to November 28, 2016. The Chongqing Natural History Museum is a comprehensive natural sciences museum. The old museum is located at No. 74, Zhibashan Main Street, Chongqing, while the new museum is located at No. 42, Wenxing Bay, Beibei District, Chongqing. It traces its origins to the \"Western China Academy of Sciences\" founded by Mr. Lu Zuofu in 1930, as well as the \"Western China Museum\" established in 1943 through the joint efforts of more than a dozen national academic institutions. After 1949, it was successively transformed into the Southwest People’s Science Museum, the Natural History Museum of the Southwest Museum, and the Natural History Department of the Chongqing Museum. It was renamed to its current name in 1981 and is a **Grade 1 Museum**.
