Hello, everyone in the maritime industry. I would like to ask what other methods can be used to treat the exhaust gases from low-temperature methanol washing processes in your companies, aside from venting them. The noise level here is extremely high – over 100 decibels Are there any good solutions? I am extremely grateful.
A exhaust gas scrubber can be installed, and the water used for scrubbing is directed to different locations depending on its composition.
How high are the emission levels where you are? Currently, aside from the exhaust gases from fertilizer plants that can be recycled, it seems that everything else is released directly into the atmosphere
We placed it on the absorption tower, at a height of about eighty meters above the ground.
On our end, it is released after being washed in the scrubber tower.
The exhaust gas can either be recycled through pressure swing adsorption or released into the atmosphere; we use two systems for this purpose – one for recycling and the other for releasing the gas through a chimney that is over 150 meters high.
This exhaust gas is generally released; the high noise level may be due to the relatively small size of the vent pipeline
For fertilizer production projects such as those using urea, some CO2 can be recovered, but most of it has to be vented. There are two ways to handle this: 1. Move the venting outlets to the edge of the plant; 2. Add a silencer at the top.
What do you get when using pressure swing adsorption for production?
Soda ash, urea, and food-grade carbon dioxide are all acceptable
