As the title suggests, butterfly valve flanges come with specialized designs; generally, the inner diameter is determined by the valve’s size. The customer has provided a DN150 butterfly valve whose inner diameter is 156. According to the standard, changing 150 to 156 results in not much volume remaining inside the inner diameter; it’s the wall thickness of the large inner diameter and the small inner diameter that matters
@It didn’t work; there was no notification. I’m not very familiar with it, but it would definitely be better to be able to machine a 1:4 bevel on thick-walled pipes.
The piping size is 168.3-3.6, right?
Caliber is merely a conventional term, not a specific dimension. The main dimension is the rubber size of the wafer butterfly valve; as long as it can compress about 2/3 of the area, there will be no leakage. For a DN150 valve, the actual rubber size of the seat is approximately 190 on the outside and 152 on the inside; a flange sealing surface size of 210 on the outside and 156 on the inside is sufficient. The inner diameter is made slightly larger to prevent jamming when the butterfly disc opens and comes into contact with the inner diameter of the flange, in case the valve is installed at an angle. The pipes are fitted together on the back side, which does not affect the sealing.
