Dear experts: The batch control unit used in our company’s chemical filling operations has been in use for a long time, and the harsh sunlight in the operating environment has affected it; as a result, the LCD screen fails to display the filling data clearly, which poses difficulties in the filling process. A request was sent to the manufacturer for repair and replacement of the LCD screen. The manufacturer replied that, as it is a first-generation product, it is no longer in production; one can only purchase an entire motherboard (and the manufacturer’s stock is limited as well). However, the price of such a motherboard is in the five-digit range, which seems a bit expensive. 1. The model of the LCD screen is YTM12864D2; where can it be purchased? 2. Does anyone have experience replacing the LCD screen with an identical motherboard? Could you share some insights? 3. To prevent high temperatures caused by solar radiation, we attached 2 cm of rubber-plastic insulation material on the inside of the box lid. Measurements showed that under direct sunlight, the temperatures inside and outside were 57°C/46°C, which indicates some effect, though it isn’t very significant. Excuse me, is there a better way? Thank you!

Replacing the display screen of yours must cost a few thousand yuan as well! Then why not build a separate canopy over the display screen? Wouldn’t that be better?
Thank you all for the great ideas. Spending so much money – it’s better to just build a shed instead: lol!
