It’s a 2-ton gas steam boiler with a rated steam pressure of 1.25 kilograms and a normal pressure of 0.6 kilograms. The quality of the boiler water is never satisfactory; the total alkalinity is low, with the standard range being 6–24, while ours is 2.8. The standard range for phosphates is 10–30, yet ours is 93. We add 200 ml of scale inhibitor per day – is this approach appropriate? What methods can be used to bring it in line with standard specifications?
Find a professional water quality testing agency to analyze the water quality, and add additives in accordance with the relevant standards.
If the alkalinity is low, it’s probably because the concentration factor isn’t high enough; increase the discharge volume. If the phosphate level is too high, then add a little less of it.
