I’ve seen many similar posts on the forum, all stating that exhaust gases contain CO, CO2, N2, O2, and H2O. But I’m puzzled: aside from these, there are clearly substances like SO2 and NOX as well – why isn’t anyone mentioning them? Moreover, the NOX concentration is very high; why can it be ignored?
Compared to CO, CO2, N2, O2, and H2O in exhaust gases, the concentrations of SO2 and NOX are lower; these parameters are primarily environmental indicators and are generally not taken into account in the thermal calculations for coke ovens
