Should I go to the class reunion?

29 years since graduation, my middle school classmates are having a get-together in my hometown, over a thousand kilometers away from home. Should a mother who accompanied her son during his senior year of high school go?
It’s better not to go! Middle school classmates go home for the New Year – see who they want to see!
I was at a class reunion last time as well, 800 kilometers away, and I wanted to go. I couldn’t get time off, so I couldn’t go.
I’m not going at all; there’s nothing interesting about it, and then I have to listen to a bunch of people bragging. One group is bragging about how great their lives are, another group is complaining about how unsatisfactory things are for them, and the rest are busy playing with their phones.
I don’t want to go either; there’s no one in particular I really want to see
There is no right or wrong; decide based on your own situation.
If it were me, I wouldn’t go. As mentioned above, it’s better to remember than to meet in person. It’s always better to keep fond memories of those wonderful student days in mind, rather than being disappointed by the reality when you meet up, especially since you also have to take care of children.
It’s fine to go if you have time; the friendship among classmates remains very pure...
