In thermal power plants, the make-up water for boilers can be supplied from the deaerator or from the hot well of the condenser – which option is more economical?
The water from the condenser’s hot well still needs to be pumped into the deaerator using a condensate pump; by sending it directly into the deaerator, electricity consumption can be saved
But wouldn’t it have a better heating effect if it entered from the hot well?
Why do they think so? Demineralized water is added to the hot well, only to replenish water in it when the system is started up
