Regarding the issue of identification colors for industrial pipes

During a recent safety inspection conducted at our plant by relevant security experts, they raised an issue regarding incorrect labeling of hydrogen pipelines. Our hydrogen pipelines are medium yellow in color throughout their length, with red markings. Experts say hydrogen pipelines should have a green base coat with red text. I checked the relevant national standards, and GB 7231-2003 does not set any requirements regarding flammable or explosive gases or combustible gases; it only requires that the gas be medium yellow, with the color code Y07. Only according to GB 7144-1999 for the color coding of gas cylinders, cylinders filled with hydrogen should be colored light green, with the text in bright red. Please advise us on what to do How did you guys do it?
The specifications for pipe color coding are rather general; it’s a broad set of rules, and it is the manufacturers themselves who determine the details for each type of medium. Experts say that green is actually used due to improper reference to the relevant standards, which reflects the inconsistencies in China’s regulatory framework. It would be advisable to consult experts regarding these pipe color coding specifications; otherwise, if another expert comes along, things will be in disarray

I think green is still a better option: if national standards have specific requirements for a particular ingredient, those requirements should take precedence; otherwise, the category should be considered；

It’s better to follow what the experts say. Some leaders don’t want to devote time to addressing everyday issues; they ask the experts conducting inspections to handle them, and these issues are resolved quickly. Sometimes, it’s the people in charge of safety who end up bearing the brunt of it.
