Alkylation and MTBE are two different oil processing techniques; alkylation involves both sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid processes, while MTBE serves both to produce components for gasoline and to purify isobutylene. Since the original poster mentioned discussing these two topics, do you think these four different aspects should be combined into one question, or separated into four separate questions, or discussed in pairs? Why don’t you first take a look at other technical posts on the forum related to these two processes, so that you have some ideas for discussion and preparation before starting a new topic?
