I’m a newcomer. Do you all know the differences between ASCO 531 and 551 solenoid valves and how to choose the right one?
The difference should lie in certification. 551 is SIL3
Just right, my company purchased these two items last week. . The coils are identical; the difference lies in the material of the valve body, with one being made of 316 stainless steel. The other one has a black paint finish on the outside, and its valve body is likely made of aluminum alloy.

The 551 is also assembled domestically. The 531 can tolerate low temperatures of around minus 10 degrees Celsius, while the 551 can handle temperatures as low as minus 25 degrees Celsius
