What should be the maximum dew point of the sealing air in an air compressor?
Does the air compressor also have sealed air? Are you referring to the sealing gas for the oil seal? Sealing gas for shaft end sealing is still not very common! If it is the sealing air for oil seals, instrument air is generally used, and the dew point of this instrument air must be at least 10 degrees lower than the local minimum temperature.
Mm-hmm! It is the sealing gas for lubricating oil – are there any regulations or standards regarding this? What is the maximum allowable water content in the sealing gas?
The moisture content corresponds to the local instrument air dew point; doesn’t the dew point indicate a temperature that is ten degrees lower than the local extreme minimum temperature?
The instrument air dew point should preferably be less than 10PPM.
