This is my first time designing a storage tank; I need help from experts! ! ! 560°, what standards can be used as a reference for high-temperature molten salt storage tanks at atmospheric pressure?
I followed the SH-3046-1992 standard. But now that I think about it, the storage tank has a high temperature and many welding points! Not sure about it?
Since it operates at atmospheric pressure and does not qualify as a pressure vessel, there are currently no standards to refer to. The concentrated solar power industry is currently formulating relevant standards; it is unclear whether there will be standards for molten salt tanks. Are the molten salt storage tanks you commonly see vertical or horizontal, and are they finished products manufactured by manufacturers or built on-site?
I previously posted a photo in the equipment New Year’s event; it was in a horizontal format, and it was provided by the manufacturer already prepared
Is it okay to use 304 for the high-temperature molten salt tank, and 20 for the low-temperature one?
Horizontal ones are easier to calculate and install than vertical ones. It’s about heat retention; horizontal models dissipate heat faster than vertical ones!
