I used to work with a subcontractor; after the pressure test, when we retrieved the pressure gauges, many of their pointers didn’t return to zero, meaning they were unusable. It seemed strange. Upon on-site inspection, it was found that these pressure gauges were installed near the source of pressure; especially during gas tests, the pointers of the gauges moved very rapidly. Sometimes, even when they reached zero, there was still enough force to bend the pointers. Of course, there are also workers who don’t follow the proper procedures; they just throw the pressure gauge on the ground. It would be strange if anything good came of that. There’s no other solution – all pressure gauges need to be replaced with those that use damping fluid; this way, the pointer doesn’t jump as frequently, and the phenomenon of it not returning to zero occurs less often.
This is very important; irregular pressure gauges can also pose problems
The workers are dissatisfied with their low wages, so they are somewhat slack and treat the items as if they didn’t belong to them, throwing them around carelessly.
