I operate a chemical processing terminal and manufacturing facility. The voltage supplied to the facility is 10 KV. The high-voltage equipment includes two 580 KVA transformers (one in use and one as a backup), as well as one 2500 KVA transformer with a voltage rating of 10/0.4. The power supply company charges a capacity fee of 3080 KW, amounting to 70,840 yuan in total. Additionally, due to voltage drop issues, the power supply lines are not able to handle a load of 3080 KW, which results in frequent power outages. At present, the factory is facing operational difficulties. Based on calculations, the actual load is around 1000 KW; therefore, it would be possible to apply to the power supply company to reduce the capacity fee by using both 580 KVA transformers and shutting down the 2500 KVA transformer. It was agreed that no fees would be charged, but still, an intermediary was hired at a cost of 50,000 yuan to assist with this process. Ah, it’s really too difficult to run a business these days. Companies are all failing. Everyone says it’s reasonable to still charge a capacity fee, right?
The administrative authorities are only responsible for collecting fees; what happens to the company is the boss’s concern. Profit is the top priority. The moral outlook of Chinese people these days is one that does not embrace a win-win situation – either one exploits others for their own benefit or it’s a zero-sum game, with always an excuse found for selfishness

The cost of putting this transformer into use was around 230 yuan.
