Yes, it must be carried out. But so far, there’s no news of any actions taken by various parties. MTO flue gas dust removal technology is currently non-existent.

Catalytic cracking is for desulfurization and denitration, while MTO is for dust removal. It’s not an industry in terms of technology.
The requirement is 100 mg/m3; in some places it is 30 mg/m3
Desulfurization and denitrification in catalytic cracking can also remove dust, with fairly good results. Previously, we used BELCO’s wet desulfurization method, which involved washing first and then adding sodium hydroxide to neutralize the wash water; for denitrification, sampling oxidation was employed. If it’s just about dust removal, that is relatively easy to achieve
For dust removal, it’s either cyclone separators or filters these days; It doesn’t matter whether it’s catalytic cracking or not; desulfurization is hardly used in MTO, but eliminating NOx makes sense.
It would be great if cyclone separators could reduce the particle content in the pollutants emitted to meet **the standards**. . .
A cyclone separator is different; it has a designed efficiency level (it’s hard to handle)
The main task for MTO flue gas is dust removal. Since its raw material, methanol, contains very little sulfur and nitrogen, SOx and NOx are essentially absent. The current standard is roughly no more than 50mg/m3.
