Can’t threads be cut on the small outer diameter series?

It was only then that I noticed this issue: the small outer diameter series for 4-inch pipes has a value of 108, while the major diameter of G4 threads is 114 and the minor diameter is 110. Does this mean that pipes in the small outer diameter series cannot be connected using threads? Is there a separate thread standard for such pipes? Or when using threaded connections, is it not necessary to indicate the DN value, but rather just the outer diameter × thickness? I’m a bit confused; please give me some advice.
I think it should indicate the thickness, in millimeters. The threads don’t connect; could welding be considered as an option?
It depends on the fitting joint. I’m not familiar with pipe series such as large/small series or AB series. However, threaded fittings are matched to process piping, such as ASME B36.10M.
