What are the steps and precautions for starting and stopping a vacuum pump?
To start a conventional vacuum pump, first open the water inlet of the pump and fill it with water, then start the motor and close the valve at the pump’s discharge outlet. When shutting down, stop the motor first, and then stop the water supply. If the pump is not to be shut down for a long time, there is no need to open the drain port; water can be added while starting the pump again. If the pump is to be shut down for an extended period, the drain valve needs to be opened to drain all the water from the pump.
