Issues regarding the inspection of purchased finished manholes

In accordance with the \"Major Pressure Vessels Regulations\" and their implementation guidelines (Quality Inspection Special Letter No. 46), the scope of inspection for pressure-bearing components shipped separately no longer includes inspections of manholes shipped separately. Can inspection certificates still be required for standard manhole components purchased from outside? Has anyone else experienced a similar situation? How to deal with it?

Personally, I think the manhole has short sections; those are welded, and they should also be subject to inspection.
Well, that’s right; we now require that manhole manufacturing units undergo supervision and inspection, with an inspection certificate issued as a result. Otherwise, our inspection personnel will not agree.
