What solvent, at a concentration of around 1.2%, should be added to coal tar and mixed after stirring in order to separate light oil from heavy oil into upper and lower layers?
The stratification will not be very apparent; it’s difficult to work with indicators that cannot be quantified, and it’s also hard to provide a qualitative assessment of them.
You can give the demulsifier a try to see its effect. It’s hard to determine.
