On October 22, in the third game of the five-game final of the 8th Ying’s Cup World Professional Go Championship, Chinese player Tang Weixing, playing as the black side, lost 7-0 to South Korean player Park Tinghuan, falling behind 1-2 temporarily. The fourth game between the two sides will take place on October 24th.
On October 26, the fifth game of the final match of the 8th Ying’s Cup World Professional Go Championship, played as a best-of-five series, was held at the Ying’s Building in Shanghai. Chinese player Tang Weixing, playing as the black side, defeated South Korean player Park Tinghuan by a margin of 5 points, securing a total score of 3-2. Tang Weixing became the third Chinese player to win the Ying Cup, following Chang Hao and Fan Tingyu, receiving a prize of $400,000. Park Tinghuan finished as runner-up for two consecutive sessions, earning $100,000 in prize money.
