If the hole size on the device is 57 when it should be 32, can this hole be reduced by using a sleeve?
A sleeve can be added, but only with the user’s consent.
It’s possible to weld it back, conduct a 100% inspection, and then start using it again – our workshop has done this secretly before; P
This depends on the purpose of the takeover, and the issue of reinforcing the take over also needs to be considered. Of course, if a 32-mm diameter fitting is used but a hole with a diameter of 57 mm has to be created, the best solution would be to use forged pipes instead; the connection part to the housing should be designed to fit the outer diameter of the 57-mm fitting, while the inner hole should be machined to match that of a 32-mm fitting. This design approach should be acceptable.
It depends on the specific situation, right? At normal pressure, it might be simpler; at medium and high pressures, calculations must be performed to ensure compliance. I agree with the one on the 4th floor.

If it is a plug-in structure, it can be changed to a welded structure with padding, and the padding can be removed after welding. If it is a fixed-type structure, one of the following three methods can be used: 1) Convert it to an inserted welding structure ; 2) It is possible to use an external reducer for transition connection ; (It is necessary to consider whether the reinforcement through the opening meets the requirements.) 3) After surfacing the inner hole, it is reworked to φ32.
For low-pressure applications, direct welding can be used, and a reinforcement ring is added after welding; for high-pressure applications, it is recommended to use pipe socket welding.
