I would like to ask a senior: in what areas can a process piping technician pursue further development?

I am a pipeline assistant engineer with two years of experience since graduating from university; in simpler terms, I’m a technician. I don’t have the personality suited for becoming a company leader, and I want to advance in the technical field or move towards design work. But since I’ve only just entered this industry, I’m not sure what direction to take for my future plans I would appreciate some guidance from a senior. My English is good
I majored in Process Equipment and Control Engineering. So which area do you think I should focus on learning now?

There are many college graduates who have worked in our factory on shift for over a decade, and quite a few who have become technicians after working there for two or three years. But it took over a decade of working in shifts before they were promoted to technician, then to supervisor, section head, deputy director, and eventually became industry experts who received **special allowances. Just because you get up early doesn’t mean you’re great; those who get up to play might well achieve success through sustained effort. Whether early or late, it is most important to be good at accumulating experience; combining theory with practice is the key.
