Now, design a tower with two pressure chambers: positive pressure at the top and negative pressure at the bottom. Calculate whether the wall thickness at the bottom is thinner than that at the top. Is such a structure feasible? Is the design pressure determined based on each respective pressure chamber?
Logically, under negative pressure conditions the calculated thickness is sometimes slightly greater than that under low pressure conditions. Generally, the thickness at the lower end is greater than or equal to that at the upper end, and this is also acceptable as long as the strength requirements are met.
