The pin of the slag skimmer has worn out, corroded and fallen off; how to solve this problem? The locking method used is a split pin
We have never encountered this problem; we started operating the gasification unit in 2004, and the chains were replaced twice over the course of 12 years. As for the pins, there has been no corrosion or detachment, which is probably related to water control. I hope you can conduct experiments by using your own type of coal – what works in other factories may not be suitable for you.
I’ve encountered this before: after conducting a thorough inspection and detecting the issue, the slag skimmer was switched off for maintenance; later, a flushing system was added to the slag skimmer
It is common for the bolts or pins that connect the chains of slag skimmers to break; timely inspection and replacement are sufficient.
