Chlor-alkali plants produce less than 20 tons per day of mirabilite monohydrate, which is difficult to handle; they want to install a Glauber’s salt production facility and are seeking detailed information.

Why isn’t anyone answering? It seems like not many things are done this way.
Mirabilite is not valuable; our unit pays the shipping costs to have someone else transport it, and calcium sulfate hemihydrate is also not worth much. It doesn’t seem worth it. The Glauber’s salt produced in chlor-alkali plants has a high water content, which makes the production of mirabilite costly and uneconomical.
