I would like to ask everyone: can the pressure in the upper column be adjusted using the V2 valve? With the air intake volume to the tower and the product output volume from the tower remaining unchanged, the capacity of the expander also remains unchanged. The argon system was not activated.
The V2 valve is not used to regulate the pressure in the upper column; any liquid or gas that flows into the upper column will cause its pressure to rise. Even closing all the valves through which gas exits the upper column will lead to an increase in its pressure. Regulating the pressure in the upper column involves the combined action of all the fluids involved. In large air separation units, the pressure in the upper column is generally regulated using inert nitrogen. Of course, the pressure of the entire system is also crucial, such as the setting of the air compressor pressure.
