Shenhua Ningmei’s 4 million tons per year coal-to-oil project produces high-purity methanol 2016-11-1 On October 29, 2016, the methanol production line of Shenhua Ningmei’s 4 million tons per year coal-to-oil project was brought online, enabling the production of qualified high-purity methanol. The project is located in the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base in Ningxia, with an estimated total investment of 55 billion yuan. Gasification is carried out using the GSP dry coal powder pressurized gasification technology, while the oil synthesis units employ the UST slurry-bed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis technology developed by Zhongke Synthetic Oil. The project will produce 4.052 million tons of synthetic oil per year, in addition to 1 million tons of methanol per year. http://www.chinacoalchem.com/news.asp?id=61483
Zhongtian Hechuang’s 3.6 million-ton coal-to-methanol plant produces qualified products 2016-9-26 On September 24, 2016, the 3.6 million-ton (2 units of 1.8 million tons each) methanol production facility part of Zhongtian Hechuang’s Ordos coal deep-processing demonstration project began producing high-quality methanol. The Zhongtian Hechuang project is located in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, and utilizes GE coal-water slurry gasification technology as well as SMTO technology; it is being constructed in two phases. Phase 1 mainly involves the construction of two coal mines and a methanol plant with an annual capacity of 3.6 million tons ; Phase 2 primarily involves the construction of 2×1.8 million tons per year of methanol-to-olefins capacity, as well as 670,000 tons per year of polyethylene and 700,000 tons per year of polypropylene production; it is currently the largest coal-based olefins project in the world. This project was jointly developed by Sinopec Great Wall Energy Chemical Co., Ltd., China Coal Energy Corporation, Shenneng Co., Ltd., and Inner Mongolia Manshi Coal Group Co., Ltd. http://www.chinacoalchem.com/news.asp?id=61366
I was at both sites; Shenhua Ningmei handled things with ease, while Zhongtian Hechuang had top-level leadership paying close attention to it
Oh my God, there’s no way to survive in the chemical plants inside! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
