When calculating the sulfur recovery reactor, if one wants to raise the temperature to 1350 degrees, I would like to know what the heat load of the reactor should be, or what factors influence it. If there is a specific formula, I would be extremely grateful!

To calculate the heat load of a sulfur production furnace, it is usually necessary to know the diameter of the furnace, the residence time (typically 1–1.5 seconds), and the calorific value of the fuel gas. When using refinery gas, its calorific value is usually around 9,000–10,000 kcai/nm3. However, for acidic gas conditions, the calorific value is determined based on its components. The above are only rough estimates; for precise calculations, relevant software is used in the end.
I have also been working on this area recently, but the computational load is enormous, and there are various algorithms available! This is the basic principle; the actual calculations involved are far more complex than one might think!
The most important factor is the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the acidic gas; it is estimated to be below 60%, so there’s no way it will work.
