Dear sea friends: In our company’s engineering specifications for float-type level gauges, there is a clause that states, “Extensions shall be considered for service temperatures above 200°C and below 0°C.” What does “Extensions” mean in this context?
For float level gauges, heat sinks should be considered when the operating temperature is above 200 degrees, while extension tubes are required when the temperature is below 0 degrees. Extensions should mean accessories or additional components.
