Introduction to HDPE plastic-coated pipe production lines: The HDPE plastic-coated pipe production lines manufactured in China today feature advanced design and meticulous construction. It uses a high-efficiency single-screw extruder paired with an advanced foreign gearbox, resulting in low energy consumption and high production output. It features PLC intelligent control, ensuring stability and reliability as well as a high degree of automation. A unique plastic-steel composite technology has been developed, enabling the simultaneous production of strips and pipes in a single molding process. The steel strip fits perfectly within the HDPE; it contains no bubbles, does not come loose, and is resistant to corrosion by other substances. It is equipped with independently developed compatible winding tubes, which offer strong compatibility. The production speed for large-diameter pipes is high and the quality is stable; two production lines are sufficient to cover the manufacturing of a full range of pipes with diameters ranging from 200 to 3000. The products manufactured by the plastic-steel spiral-wound pipe production line are known as plastic-steel spiral-wound pipes. They are made by spirally winding and welding composite steel-plastic strips (with extrusion welding at the overlapping surfaces), and their inner walls are smooth and flat. The available sizes range from DN200 to DN3000 mm. This type of pipe has advantages such as corrosion resistance, light weight, easy installation, high flow capacity, and a long service life of 50 years. It can replace pipes made from materials with high energy consumption (such as cement, cast iron, ceramics, etc.), making it an environmentally friendly green product. Features: 1. Safe and reliable ring stiffness – Compared to purely plastic pipes, the reinforced steel strips enable the pipes, especially those with large diameters, to possess sufficient safe and reliable ring stiffness. 2. The inner wall is smooth, resulting in a flow resistance that is 20–30% lower than that of cement pipes. Polyethylene (PE) pipes have smooth inner walls, a low coefficient of friction, and sediment does not tend to accumulate within them; thus, the frictional resistance remains almost unchanged over time. 3. They can be connected in a flexible manner or without leaks (through electrofusion welding or butt welding), offering good sealing properties and environmental benefits. Both types of sealing methods can be carried out using simple manual tools, without the need for machinery, making installation quick and easy while ensuring reliability and no leaks. 4. They are resistant to corrosion, with a service life of over 50 years. High-density polyethylene (PE) pipes can last up to fifty years. 5. They are lightweight and require few joints; no heavy equipment is needed for installation, making them easy to install as they do not require large lifting equipment. It has good axial flexibility; lower requirements are imposed on the flatness and solidity of the groove bottom during installation, and it has a strong capacity to withstand abnormal stresses resulting from improper installation. 6. Production takes place on-site, which **reduces transportation costs. The strips can be transported in coils (ordinary cable reels), and the tubing winding device is simple and compact, allowing manufacturers to bring it to the construction site for winding. This approach significantly lowers the transportation costs for users. 7. Pipes with strong resistance to abnormal sudden loads can dissipate the resulting stresses through elastic deformation, thereby preventing leaks or damage at the pipe joints due to excessive stress and deformation. The raw materials used to produce pipes with a plastic-steel spiral-wound pipe production line are high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or medium-density polyethylene (MDPE) plastics (with a density of approximately 0.93–0.960), as well as steel strips. Pipes produced by the plastic-steel spiral-wound pipe production line can be widely used for transporting various non-corrosive or corrosive pressure-free fluids.
