During a maintenance task, I was tightening the screws on a heat exchanger; I used an iron barrel as a platform under my feet. Once the work was done, I forgot about that platform, stepped back, and with a thud, I fell and almost lost consciousness.
When replacing the flange gasket, avoid the front side, as spray once came out and hit my face.
I got a nail in my shoe while doing maintenance, wearing my own hiking shoes
Over a decade ago, when I was just an apprentice, I worked by stepping on a handwheel for convenience; well, you know what happened~~~~~
The wallet fell into the tank that had been filled with nitrogen; I went to retrieve it but couldn’t get out.
While the worker was using gas cutting, an acetylene hose leaked and caught fire, setting another colleague’s clothes on fire.
When lifting the reducer with a crane, the wire rope used was too thin and had broken strands; it broke as the load was lowered, causing the reducer to be damaged, but no one was injured.
A construction worker entered a semi-enclosed installation area; it turned out that the factory was using nitrogen to purge the pipes, and some of that nitrogen leaked out. As a result, the worker fainted due to lack of oxygen. Fortunately, rescue efforts were prompt, but it is essential to carry a portable oxygen detector when entering areas where there is a risk of oxygen deficiency, and work should only begin after confirming that the air quality is satisfactory.
I cut my finger with a kitchen knife while cooking, and the wound still hasn’t healed yet, haha
