Mr. Hiro Sano visited various locations in the Maoming Petrochemical Refining Area, such as the weighing equipment team and the flow measurement calibration room, to conduct on-site inspections and provide guidance. At the weighing equipment team, Mr. Sano pointed out the issue of items being placed in disordered fashion on the work surfaces of the scales. The small weighing slips are stored in a organized manner; according to experts, a systematic and visually clear arrangement enables the weighing operators to retrieve them easily and avoid mistakes. In the flow meter calibration room, Hiroya Sano pointed out issues such as the placement of flange short circuits on the flow meter calibration stations, the classification of bolt sizes, and the routine maintenance of valve stems. “Many of the issues related to the customized placement of equipment suggested by Mr. Hiro Sano are things that exist in our daily work; we were unaware of them and never even thought to consider improving them. In daily equipment management, efforts should start with improving small aspects of everyday work; whether it is operational tasks, inspections, equipment maintenance, work documentation, or office reception, all such daily activities need to be managed meticulously. It is understood that TnPM is a production and equipment maintenance system that aims for comprehensive equipment efficiency and full effective productivity, relies on preventive maintenance across the entire system, is guided by employee behavior standards as part of the process, and is based on the participation of all staff members.
