Is the solution to question 5-11 in the Tianjin University version of the revised textbook incorrect?

I would like to ask all fellow exam takers: for questions 5-11 in the Tianjin University version of the review textbook, in the theoretical series expression for the equivalent plate height, shouldn’t 1 be subtracted? Why isn’t it subtracted in the solutions? Seeking discussion and help, thank you

I couldn’t find the origin of the formula for subtraction by one; I only know that the number of theoretical plates N = Nog*(1-s)/lnA
The question mentions a packed tower; have you ever seen a packed tower equipped with a reboiler and a condenser? So there’s no need to reduce it any further.
Oh, the minus one here comes from pushing Nog through the process. It has nothing to do with the reboiler and condenser. Wrong answer
