Dear seniors: What specification is used for the insulation material of the converter (aluminum silicate), what is its bulk density, and is it in the form of rolled fabric or plates?

Take a look at the design. The main thing is to pay attention to the density requirements for aluminum silicate. The thickness is determined by the design: for a design requiring 200 mm of thickness, 2 layers are used; for those requiring 100 mm, 4 layers are used. Pay attention to constructing the seams in an interlaced manner. The aluminum plate should be at least 1mm thick, and an annular steel strip must be used. Personally, I think rolling is better as it makes construction easier. Next is the inspection of moisture content. Generally, there’s no problem; suppliers provide inspection reports. For non-professionals, just take a look.

The material and performance parameters of the insulation foam can only be selected based on the design requirements. What needs to be paid attention to during construction is the density of the insulation material against the wall surfaces, as well as the alignment between different layers of insulation material. Theoretically, if you have the money, it is also feasible to add an additional 5 cm of insulation material. It should be emphasized that the claws and clamps used for insulation must be firm and secure.
It seems that the thickness varies depending on the region; it depends on the design. I’ve seen thicknesses of 200, 300, and 500 mm, while ours is 300 mm.
When choosing the bulk density of the insulation material, think about how heavy the entire converter assembly will be; there are no insulation parameters specified in the design drawings.
