When designing an RTO regenerative combustion furnace, apart from providing the air handling volume as well as the type and concentration of exhaust gases, what other parameters are needed to carry out the design?
It is also necessary to know the power of the fan, as well as how to make use of the excess heat generated during heat balance calculations (this heat can be used to heat air with a heat transfer oil furnace, to provide clean hot air using a gas plate heat exchanger, to heat water, or via a waste heat boiler, etc.), before designing a system for exhaust gas treatment.
