Dear seniors: In the sulfur melting section, filter pumps are generally used for filtration (with high pump head and relatively low flow rate), while auxiliary filter pumps are employed to carry out pre-coating in order to form a filter cake (with low pump head and high flow rate)； What are the disadvantages of being lazy and using a filtration pump for pre-coating?
There are significant differences in the amount of diatomaceous earth used for pre-coating and the pre-coating time with filter pumps
Before installing it, I used a filter pump for pre-coating; by removing the partition between the filtration tank and the auxiliary filtration tank, the same effect is achieved. However, using more diatomaceous earth and extending the pre-coating time yields the same result.
