It is well known that after the construction of chemical engineering pipelines, a hydrostatic test must be conducted on the entire pipeline system. When the design temperature is very high, such as 300 degrees, it is necessary to adjust the hydrostatic test pressure for account of temperature effects; therefore, it is essential to determine the allowable stress of the materials at that temperature. There are many standards available for this purpose, but which one should be used? I’m confused – I would appreciate guidance from those with more experience. The standards I’ve come across include GB 20801, GB 50316, and HG/T 20592–20635. May I ask which standard everyone uses, and why? :Q
Chemical pipelines definitely need to comply with the standards of the chemical industry, but I’m not exactly sure which ones they are; you can check the relevant manuals
General design has regulations regarding material selection. These include the use of design specifications, material grades, etc. This regulation specifies in detail which standards to use.
