What diameter of pipe is suitable for instrument heating? Using a ф10 pipe for heating provides good insulation, so why do the instrument pipelines still freeze? I don’t understand; it’s only minus 6 degrees

For instrumentation-related work, you can also check the SH3126; has the heat-traced pipeline frozen? What is the freezing point of the medium?
It must be that the steam flow is too low; I use a pipe with a ф8 diameter for venting, and steam coming out of that end prevents freezing.
Carbon steel pipes of 18x3 are used quite frequently, while stainless steel pipes of 12 are more commonly used.

Check the pressure of the return pipeline with the heat tracing tube, and ensure that the steam trap remains unobstructed. Point heating is possible, but it requires additional heating tape, intermediate connectors, terminal connectors, wires, and circuit breakers. The load size needs to be taken into consideration.
Change it to electric heating; it’s more convenient.
