What methods are used to treat VOCs in the vent gases of tank farms?
Some so-called experts sit in offices and always try to come up with some scheme; at present, many just observe while few actually take action. The techniques used are varied, and there are many scammers. As for why China’s real economy is struggling, aside from the high tax burden, there are countless other burdens as well
Yes. Some large state-owned enterprises have implemented it, but many private enterprises have not.
The atmospheric pressure tank is connected to the scrubber tower, while the high pressure tank is connected to the flare.
Our company’s storage tanks are equipped with a negative-pressure VRU (Vapor Recovery Unit) system, purely for environmental reasons; it is said that the amount of oil recovered is not enough to offset the costs of electricity and water used.
Regenerative combustion, thermal combustion, catalytic combustion, cooling recovery, absorption (into oil), absorption and desorption, adsorption
General environmental protection is purely an investment and is unlikely to generate profits
Diesel absorption plus activated carbon adsorption.
Our company is connected directly to the scrubber tower; recycling is not feasible due to the high costs
If there are heating furnaces, industrial furnaces, or boilers near the VOC vent point, it is possible to install an additional corrosion-resistant plastic fan to draw in the air containing trace amounts of VOCs from that vent point, along with a small amount of surrounding air (about 300 Nm3/H). This air is then sent to the inlet silencer of the combustion fan in the nearby industrial furnace. The combustion fan boosts the pressure of this air mixture, which then enters the air passage of the burner at the top of the industrial furnace. The fuel gas (the vented gas) and the VOC-containing air burn together in the combustion chamber; the high temperature of 1000–1600 degrees Celsius in the combustion chamber converts the VOCs completely into CO2, which is then released through the chimney, thereby eliminating VOC pollution completely.
