One type is non-independent; for example, in the ITCC project, the speed signal enters the TRICON 3511 pulse input module, and three-out-of-two overspeed protection is achieved through internal logic. Another type is independent, such as the BRAUN E16, Woodward’s protech 203, and Bently 3500’s 53 module. According to API standards, the overspeed protection system should be independent.
Could you share in detail the advantages and disadvantages of the BRAUN E16 and Woodward’s protech 203?
