Currently, the enterprise uses 48% caustic solution from a high-level tank to feed into the reaction vessel. If a pipeline metering pump is added to the pipeline between them for adding caustic solution, what type of pump can be used? 2 How much is it approximately? The pipe diameter is DN25; the required flow rate is 50 kg/min at its maximum, while it is usually around 5–7 kg/min. I seek advice from experts
48% alkaline solutions can be handled using fluoroplastic-lined centrifugal pumps.
The maximum flow rate of your medium varies too greatly; a metering pump can be used for the normal flow rate, but it cannot handle the maximum flow rate.
Would a control method using a flow meter + control valve be better?
