According to clause 8.10.1.1 of GB/T151-2014, floating head covers made of carbon steel or low-alloy steel shall undergo post-weld heat treatment; does this requirement apply regardless of whether there are partition plates or not?； The regulations of version 99 require that welded partitions with layered structures undergo post-weld heat treatment
It’s all written very clearly. Do you really need someone else to say it before you believe it?
I really hadn’t noticed such a new requirement in the standards; it’s likely that this rule was added considering that floating head flanges are generally quite thick.
